Chapter 7 - Survey Research

  1. Assume you are asked to design a questionnaire to find out what Top 40 radio station listeners think about the current music that is out today.  Who would you include in your sample?  What screening questions would you use?

  2. This is a two-part question:

    • Write down 5 questions that you think are too personal to ask in a telephone survey.

    • Assume you are hired to design a questionnaire that includes these questions.  How would you ask them?

  3. You are asked to design a survey for a national study.  Your client asks you what sample size is appropriate for a national study.  What is your answer?  Why?
